As Chairman of The People's Revolutionary Committee for Artistic Action, Tom Von Doom has worked tirelessly to ensure the victory of the People. Born in New York City, he was raised as a child of the Bourgeois Intellectual Elite. Growing up across the street from the United Nations allowed him to see the plight of people around the world, enslaved by the Multi-Lateral Banking Conspiracy and victimized by Western Imperialist policies. Breaking free from his cultural chains, he moved to the country, where he enjoyed the life of a simple peasant, finally communing with the proletariat.
The rural surroundings of the small village were vital to the development of Von Doom's philosophy and political theories. He established relationships with others that would last a lifetime. He formed his first music combo, Roque Trillogy, with revolutionary-minded students from the local Institute. They later moved to Boston, changing their name to Anubis.

A young TVD brings the message to the masses
Von Doom's professional career truly began when he landed a gig with Bebe & The B-Sides featuring Bebe Buell, famous model and celebrity and mother of actress Liv Tyler. He was off on his first national tour at the age of 21. He recorded and toured with the band for the next 3 years. Next, he began touring with regional acts, Secret Service, and then, Carol & the Charmers, a finalist in the Miller High Life Rock-to-Riches contest. He moved back to New York City to audition for Billy Idol's band, but instead wound up with speed metal goddess The Great Kat, playing on her debut album and first music video. As a rising young pop star, Tom Von Doom was often called up onstage to play with others, including Ace Frehley, Anton Fig (David Letterman,) Warren Haynes of the Allman Brothers Band (pre Govt. Mule,) and even Steve Stevens of Billy Idol's band. Eventually, he hooked up with NYC's notorious Cycle Sluts From Hell. He wrote the music for their classic hit, "I Wish You Were A Beer," which was recently featured in the MTV documentary "Testimony: 20 Years of Rock on MTV." He recorded and performed with Mighty Joe Young, a band comprised of NY's finest (musicians, that is...)

Scourge of the Hudson. The Chairman spies on the black heart of the financial world from an unsuspected vantagepoint, at the helm of a schooner in New York harbor.
Moving to Seattle, he formed King Dude with old friends. The band's sound was a precursor for the power pop explosion of the 90's characterized by Green Day, Offspring and Blink 182. The songs written by Von Doom had a cynical edge to the lyrics that prompted a reviewer from Seattle's famed rock rag, the Rocket, to call them, "either the stupidest thing I've ever heard or the greatest metal band of all time..." After King Dude disintegrated, Von Doom kicked around Seattle for a few years, playing in bands, Mach-a-Go-Go, the Longshadows, and Virginia Woolf, going to college, and even starting a restaurant with friends.
Pursuing his interest in film brought Von Doom to San Francisco, where he was able to work with numerous luminaries like famed German director Werner Herzog and actor and comedian Cheech Marin. He reconnected with old colleagues to form Monkey Navigated Death Machine and record their debut album, For The Hearing Impaired. He also recorded the debut album of 3D Models, Abandon.
After years of reflection and study, Tom Von Doom returns to his true calling with the release of his first solo album, Opiate of the Masses.

No, this isn't the Guess Who , it's Blood, Sweat and Tears with a future visionary in their midst (front left blond.) Little did they know. Al Kooper (in the middle) didn't know he was about to be fired from the band he founded, and replaced by a poppier singer, David Clayton-Thomas.
Besides recording and touring with various rock bands, he's also tuned guitars for David Bowie and gotten coffee for David Lynch and Martin Scorsese. As a boy, he appeared on the cover of Blood, Sweat & Tears first album, "Child is Father to the Man," and hung around his mothers' restaurant, "Alice's," with Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Mick Jagger.
He holds a Doctorate in Theology from the Georgia Bible College (with both hands) where his father was Dean.
