Welcome Comrades,

As the tone of current events gets darker, I thought it was time to lighten things up. So, in protest of 'the fate of the union,' I proudly present political commentary reduced to the lowest art-form, limericks... or, as I like to call it in tribute to Lewis Carroll - Politicalimericky.

1)
There once was a man from Iraq
Who wanted his armaments back
His rule was obscene
But his money was green
Not to mention, his oil was black

2)
Karl Marx was a silly old bird
Whose TV show was really absurd
When the ducky came down
He'd exclaim with a frown
"Capitalism's the worst thing I've heard..."

3)
North Korea's a nuclear state
And the capitalist world's quite irate
To consolidate wealth
You must have your health
And the bomb's such a lower-class fate

4)
Donald Rumsfeld exploded with glee
"We are going to war, finally!
To the bunker, we go!"
Colin Powell said, "No!
That damn Cheney's run off with the key!"

And finally, my crowning achievement:

There was an ex-president's spouse
Whose run for his job made Bush grouse
Although, if she gets in
The Republicans grin
There'll still be a 'bush' in the White House!
